My Journey and Experiences in Padang, West Sumatra Padang is a city located in West Sumatra, one of the many islands in Indonesia. My friends and I went there for a field trip in October of 2019. We didn't only go to Padang, we went to Bukittinggi as well. We went to a lot of places including museums, restaurants, historical landmarks, but the highlight of this trip truly was our experience of staying 2 nights at the traditional Rumah Gadang . A Rumah Gadang is a traditional home for Minangkabau people. You'd think that those kinds of houses don't exist anymore... right? Well actually, people still live in these kinds of houses. These houses have dramatically curved roof structure with multi-tiered gables. Shuttered windows are built into walls incised with profuse painted floral carvings. In many parts of the world, the rabbit has become a part of daily life, as food, clothing, companion, and as an inspiration or artistic intention. Taxonomy Difference from Hares: Hares are generally born with hair, more mature, and with good eyesight, while rabbits are born hairless and blind, and often need more care. Hares are often solitary, which means they pretty much live alone above ground, whereas the rabbit usually live in colonies/social groups in burrows. Major Richard D. Winters Who is he? Major Richard D. Winters was a military commissioned officer during World War 2. He is a decorated army veteran, and one of the most honored paratroopers that fought in the second world war. He is best known for being a leader of Easy Company, from the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. Early life and Education Dick Winters was born in Pennsylvania on the 21st of January in 1918. The Winters family moved to Lancaster when he was only eight years old. In 1937 he graduated from Lancaster Boys High School, and went to Franklin and Marshall College. He was considered an active student during his college years, but had to give up a lot of his favorite sports and activities to work part time jobs to pay for his college tuition. Following his graduation in 1941, the war had just broken out. He later revealed in his famous memoir that he "...had no intention of being involved whatsoever..." ...
